Quick dinner ideas, to me, means dinner that starts after work and still gets everyone to the table before anyone gets grumpy. Most of these land in 30 minutes or less, and nothing on this page needs more than 40, which I think is the honest limit of the word quick.

If you want the strict version, the recipes I have actually timed at half an hour, that list lives at 30-minute meals. This page is the wider net: the dinners I reach for when the evening is short, sorted by what kind of quick you need.
