Easy comfort food
with a fresh
Nordic touch.

I'm Anna, a Swedish-American home cook in Minneapolis. I write cozy weeknight dinners, nourishing breakfasts, simple bakes, and honest notes on the kitchen tools I actually use.

Anna in her bright Scandinavian farmhouse kitchen, wearing a beige Breton-striped tee with a small beige linen apron, standing behind the large marble island with a wooden cutting board, a halved lemon, and fresh dill in front of her. A small potted basil plant and a bowl of lemons on the island. The stainless range with open wood shelves sits behind her on the left; the farmhouse sink under multi-pane windows with a brass faucet is on the right.
From the editor

“Food should be simple enough for a weeknight, comforting enough to crave, and fresh enough to feel good after.”

About

I learned to cook
from my grandmother's
recipe box.

I'm Anna, a 26-year-old home cook from Minneapolis. My grandmother was Swedish, kept jam in the fridge, and made cucumber salad every summer. She believed a good meal didn't need much: something warm, something bright, and someone to share it with.

This blog is where I cook her food a little fresher, a little simpler, and write it down honestly. Flour on the counter included.
