Appliances.

The small appliances that earn their counter or cabinet space. Stand mixers for the weekend bakes, immersion blenders for the soups, food processors for the times you actually need one (which is fewer than you think), electric kettles for the morning coffee. I keep this list short on purpose. Most kitchens do not need 11 specialty gadgets. Each pick is something I either use regularly or have tested against the alternative. The compromises are honest. These are the appliances worth the shelf space.
